We’re making movies, you know? We’re not in the mafia. Like, I haven’t spoken against the family. I try to do the right thing, and that’s all I can do, is, you know, when I see something, you do something. You don’t just… you don’t just sit back and hope it protects your movie.

lovebryan @Mitskileaks for @GQ! Her new album comes out on Friday and I got to shoot her at @kevinhayden’s house in Rockaway. We had a very Dawson’s Creek moment on the roof. She was so cool. Thanks to @dbave for the great assignment and @rachelleidig for hair and make-up. The story is on GQ now and a good read.
Idris Elba for ShortList
D’Arcy Carden for GQ, photographed by S. Thompson
Why don’t you vote? It doesn’t do anything.
Get out (2017) dir. Jordan Peele
There is no threshold that makes us greater than the sum of our parts, no inflection point at which we become fully alive. We can’t define consciousness because consciousness does not exist. Humans fancy that there’s something special about the way we perceive the world, and yet we live in loops as tight and as closed as the hosts do, seldom questioning our choices, content, for the most part, to be told what to do next.
